The debut of the racing simulator on physical media was unexpectedly strong for the Xbox platform.

Within the first two days after release, the audience of Forza Horizon 6 exceeded six million people — and this does not include the PS5 version, which will be released later in 2026. In the UK physical chart, the game from Playground started at second place, losing only to LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. This is a notable result for Xbox: the company’s games are traditionally weakly represented in disc charts due to Game Pass and the widespread shift of the audience to digital purchases. The last time an Xbox project entered the UK top 5 physical sales was back in the days of Starfield.Forza Horizon 6 surpassed Yoshi and the Mysterious Book — although, according to The Game Business journalist Christopher Dring, the gap between them was only about 300 copies. The game is currently available on PC and Xbox Series X|S.
