The corporation agreed to pay $250 million, although it does not legally admit guilt and insists it acted within the law. The final amount that users will receive will be less due to legal and administrative costs.American users who purchased an iPhone 15 or 16 between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025, are eligible to claim a payment (from $25 to $95 per device). The lawsuit was filed in March 2025: the plaintiffs claimed that the advertising campaign misled them. Buyers expected the promised Apple Intelligence technologies to appear in September 2024 alongside the release of the iPhone 16. However, the first AI elements became available only in October, and in a limited format, with some features having to be disabled due to bugs.
