The line will start in August with the comic "Midnight X-Men."

Marvel Comics introduced the Midnight Universe as a darker and grittier version of the familiar superhero universe. The company has already revealed the titles of the first three series and the teams working on them.
Special "masked covers" will be prepared for the comics: they will be fully visible only when flipping the page. Full versions of the covers will not be shown in announcements, except for debut issues.
The line is set to launch on August 5 with Midnight X-Men. The series is worked on by Jonathan Hickman and Matteo Della Fonte, and the plot will revolve around a war between mutants and vampires. The cover of the first issue was drawn by Dyke Ruane.
In September, Midnight Fantastic Four by Benjamin Percy and Kev Walker will be released. The plot involves an obsessed scientist who delves too deeply into the dangerous secrets of the universe, after which he and three other people become monstrously mutilated.

In October, Midnight Spider-Man will launch, created by Philip Kennedy Johnson and Ski Troonk. Here, young Peter Parker becomes a human-spider hybrid due to Oscorp experiments related to the search for eternal life. When the corporation decides to continue creating new monsters, the hero takes on a grotesque form to stop it.



Marvel Comics promises to reveal new details about the line in the coming months.
