The team emphasizes: the project is intended as a free non-commercial modification for PC, and all funds come exclusively in the form of voluntary donations from users.
Meanwhile, CD Projekt RED has previously expressed a clear opposition: the developers did not grant permission for the dubbing creation and have consistently opposed the commercial use of fan content since 2023. Nevertheless, GamesVoice is already collecting funds, with a target amount exceeding three million rubles. The project involves key actors from the original Russian version, including the voices of V and Johnny Silverhand.
The studio itself acknowledges that the project exists in a “gray area” legally. In the event of forced closure, all collected funds are planned to be redirected to the creation of the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas voiceover.
