Information about the bankruptcy appeared in the government newspaper "Kanpo."




On April 13, the official publication of the Japanese government, "Kanpo," published a notice that the animation studio Studio KAI has entered a stage of insolvency: the company is unable to repay accumulated debts after closing the 2025 fiscal year with a net loss of 565 million yen (about 3.5 million US dollars). Previously, Studio KAI had already recorded negative results: in the second financial report for 2021, the loss amounted to 165.129 million yen (approximately 1.51 million dollars), and in the debut report for the period up to December 31, 2019 — 402.01 million yen (about 3.69 million dollars at the current exchange rate).
