After patch 0.4, the daily peak exceeded 40,000 players — the best result since release.
The tactical shooter Gray Zone Warfare has surged back up the Steam charts following its massive 0.4 Spearhead update, reaching over 40,000 concurrent players in 24 hours — its highest peak since launch in April 2024.
Released on March 31, Spearhead is the game’s largest update yet, adding over 100 new tasks, reworking dozens of others, expanding the open‑world sandbox, improving performance, and significantly tweaking AI to make combat feel fairer but still tense. The patch has brought in more than 1,800 new positive Steam reviews in just a few days, boosted further by a sale, Twitch Drops, and strong support from content creators.
