Christopher Sundberg admitted that the game launched with an unacceptable number of bugs but promised a series of fixes.
The action game Samson was released on April 8 and initially received very mixed reviews — on Metacritic the project scored about 53 points, and critics and players frequently complained about technical issues and bugs. After the release, the head of Liquid Swords studio, Christopher Sundberg, addressed the community and admitted that the game launched "with unacceptable errors," although he himself remains proud of the work done by the team.
The developers have already released the first patch, which fixed some key issues: improved performance (including PSO-related freezes), reduced the number of crashes, and eliminated several noticeable bugs. By the end of April, the team plans at least two more updates — on the 15th and 22nd: the second patch will focus on stabilizing FPS and refining gameplay, and details of the third are promised closer to its release. At the same time, the authors published recommendations for configuring the game on low-end PCs, advising to update drivers and enable frame generation. At the time of publication, about half of the reviews for Samson on Steam were positive, while players criticize not only optimization but also repetitive combat and boring vehicle controls.
