The release of Pragmata in April 2026 completed an impressive two-year cycle: starting with Dragon's Dogma 2 in March 2024, Capcom released six consecutive games with a Metacritic score of 80 or higher. No other major studio showed comparable consistency during the same period. The year 2026 is especially indicative: Resident Evil Requiem (89 points), Monster Hunter Stories 3 (86 points), and Pragmata (86 points) were released in February, March, and April respectively — and all three are already contenders for the best games of the year.
