Bethesda's game hadn't reached the number one spot since September 2023. One port fixed that.



Circana analyst Matt Piscatella reported that Starfield became the highest-grossing game in the US for the week ending April 11, 2026. The last time it held the top spot in the weekly chart was at the very beginning of its life — in September 2023, right after its release on PC and Xbox Series. The April 7 release of the PlayStation 5 version and the story expansion allowed the game to regain its lost position.
In terms of revenue, the April week was the fourth best in the title's entire history — only the first three weeks of fall 2023 were higher. The analyst specified that 95% of the income for these seven days was generated by the PS5 audience: other platforms, despite the simultaneous release of a free update, showed almost no growth. Bethesda has not disclosed official sales figures for the PS5; approximate estimates were provided by the independent agency Alinea Analytics.
