Freedom for Adewale and online pirates remain in the past — Resynced will be a standalone edition.
According to insider Tom Henderson, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will launch without an online mode or any story expansions. Ubisoft has already abandoned plans to release DLC — regardless of the remake's commercial success. For comparison: the original 2013 game received a full multiplayer mode and a full expansion Freedom Cry — a standalone story about the former slave Adewale, Edward Kenway's quartermaster.
At the same time, the remake will introduce its own new content: an expanded narrative and additional mechanics that were not in the original version. The original game and its expansions will not be removed from sale — they will remain available alongside Resynced. Henderson also reported that at least one more remake in the Assassin's Creed series is in development, but further production of updated versions of other parts will directly depend on the success of Black Flag Resynced. The official game presentation will take place on April 23 at 19:00 Moscow time.
