Owlcat Games has launched beta testing of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn — a role-playing game set in the universe of "The Expanse" — for buyers of the expanded editions: the "Miller's Set" (80 euros) and the collector's edition (290 euros), purchased through the official project website. Owners of the base version (50 euros) and Deluxe Edition (60 euros) did not receive access to the beta. On all three supported platforms — PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S — the trial version is available simultaneously.

The beta content is limited to the introductory chapter, in which the player meets two companions: a twin brother or sister and the Martian Zafar. The studio warned in advance that it does not plan to expand the trial version with additional content — the entire team is focused on completing the game before the planned release in spring 2027. This format of early testing is traditional for Owlcat: similarly, the betas of Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Wrath of the Righteous, and Rogue Trader were launched — to collect feedback and subsequently polish the product before release.
