Edward Kenway returns: the same spirit, a new engine, soundtrack by Woodkid.
Ubisoft officially unveiled Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced — a full remake of the fourth installment of the series, built from scratch on the current version of the Anvil engine. The original actor Matt Ryan returned to voice Edward Kenway, also serving as the narrator in the first gameplay trailer. The graphics have been completely overhauled: the remake features realistic water simulation and dynamic weather inherited from the latest games in the series.
The combat system has been reimagined "with a focus on action" — movements are smoother, new finishers have been added. Parkour and underwater exploration have been improved, stealth has been expanded with new options for covert approaches, and eavesdropping missions no longer fail upon the hero being detected. Ship mechanics have been refined: the Queen Anne's Revenge is now more maneuverable, and waves have a stronger impact on handling. The main narrative was left untouched by the developers, the modern-day storyline has been rethought, and Abstergo office scenes have been removed. DLC and multiplayer are not included in the remake. The soundtrack was composed by Woodkid. The release date is July 9, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S; text translation is provided for Russian-speaking players.
