The French RPG celebrated its first birthday with a sales record.
The studio Sandfall Interactive announced that total sales of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 reached eight million copies exactly one year after release. The developers thanked the fans — streamers, artists, and participants in game discussions — and admitted that they still cannot fully grasp the scale of their project's success. For the anniversary, a small patch was released with new hairstyle options for all playable characters — from Gustav to Monoko.
The studio warned in advance: major expansions should not be expected. Meanwhile, the game adaptation, which was announced back in January 2025, still remains without official details.
"Pattinson on screen, me behind the scenes": Charlie Cox proposed an original solution for the adaptation of Expedition 33 — naiwa | UniversumFans themselves noticed the resemblance of Gustav to the actor from "The Lighthouse" — Cox simply agreed and put forward the idea. universum.ink
