Lord of Hatred is the second major expansion for Diablo IV and was released on the night of April 28 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. The expansion features a new storyline in which players embark on the final confrontation with Mephisto.
A large region called Scos is available for exploration, which was absent in the original ARPG version: it was once the land of the Firstborn and the home of Lilith and Inarius, but now the territory is ruled by the queen-oracle and the leader of the Amazons. Players can explore cities, dungeons, temple ruins, and volcanic wastelands inhabited by unique enemies.
The DLC also added two new classes to the game — the Paladin (previously available via pre-order) and the Warlock. The developers seriously revamped the endgame, the transmutation system, and the set bonus system, increased the maximum character level, introduced separate progression branches for eight archetypes, and improved loot filtering.
