The creators of Resident Evil Requiem confirmed that they are preparing fresh content aimed primarily at gameplay experience rather than expanding the story. Game director Kōshi Nakanishi and producer Masato Kumakawa spoke about the development of a separate mini-game — a post-campaign mode that will unlock only after completing the main story and will enhance replayability by giving players a new reason to return to the game. The new mode is built around Requiem's combat system and emphasizes dynamics: more fights, rhythm, and tension in the style of the series' action spin-offs, with minimal pauses and slow horror buildup, which partly echoes the additional modes of Resident Evil 7. Nakanishi assures that players' reaction will be "you will be thrilled," and Kumakawa suggested playing the campaign during "Golden Week" (from April 29 to May 6), which transparently hints that the mini-game release is planned very soon. Whether the mode will become something more than just a collection of combat challenges and truly extend Requiem's lifespan depends on the depth of the mechanics and how carefully Capcom balances horror and arcade drive.
