The developers detailed all the innovations on Steam, emphasizing that the patch was entirely shaped based on the wishes and feedback of the gaming community.The main innovation was the free chapter selection feature. Now players can return at any time to each of the ten campaign episodes. This significantly simplifies the search for missed collectibles: hero upgrades, music tracks, and text notes. Additionally, the menu now clearly displays the statistics of uncollected items on each level.Another important change was the ability to disable the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Originally, the authors designed Replaced as a cinematic adventure with an aspect ratio of 21:9. However, many users (especially owners of the portable Steam Deck consoles) complained about the inefficient use of display space, and the studio accommodated them.
