According to the law firm Saveri Law Firm LLP, published at the end of April, the corporation is prepared to pay American PlayStation users a total compensation of $7.85 million.Those eligible for compensation are buyers of digital games through PSN during the period from April 1, 2019, to December 31, 2023. The list of affected games includes Destiny, Nier: Automata, Resident Evil 4 Remake, The Last of Us, and several others. Compensation can be received without submitting a separate claim — it is enough not to withdraw consent before July 2, 2026. Users without an active account can claim the payout by contacting the lawyers handling the case directly. Final approval of the settlement is scheduled for a hearing no earlier than October 15, 2026.
