Firaxis studio announced a large and free update Test of Time, scheduled for release on May 19.

Developers from Firaxis released a special trailer in which they announced the release date of the major Test of Time update for the global strategy Civilization VII — it will be available on May 19. The update will be completely free for all owners of the original game.
The key innovation will be the long-awaited ability to complete the entire campaign from start to finish with a single civilization. Previously, the game mechanics forced gamers to forcibly change empires when moving to a new historical era. Now players will have a choice: to develop their original people or take control of a new one. Another interesting feature will be “syncretism” — a system that allows integrating unique buildings and units of other empires into your own. The developers also promise to expand and diversify the paths to victory. Replacing the old legacy paths mechanic will be the “triumph system” — a set of additional objectives based on six key attributes, which should make each game deeper and more varied. In addition, the game will add fresh narrative events, a new leader, and modified map generation algorithms.
