Frogwares studio has revealed a sequel trailer and announced that the project will be released this summer on PC and consoles.

The Frogwares team shared a fresh trailer for The Sinking City 2, where they disclosed the release window — the game will arrive this coming summer. In the published video, the developers focused directly on the gameplay: viewers were shown the combat system against creepy creatures and elements of solving spatial puzzles.The main character of the new story will be Calvin Rafferty, who is passionate about studying occult sciences. The plot begins with the fact that due to a mistake during a mystical ritual, the protagonist’s beloved ends up in an otherworldly captivity. Trying to rescue her, Calvin sets off to the sinister, partially submerged city of Arkham. As the creators themselves state, they are not just making another survival-horror game, but aim to create something more grand and ambitious, while preserving the atmosphere of Lovecraft’s works and the 'gray morality' system. The game is being developed for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and the project page can already be found on Steam. Recall that in spring 2025, the studio successfully ported the first part of the game to the Unreal Engine 5 engine.
