At the recent 30-minute Xbox Presents presentation, the Ryu Ga Gotoku studio revealed details of their new large-scale game called Stranger Than Heaven. The main sensation was the casting: in addition to Japanese artists, the project featured the iconic rapper Snoop Dogg, who voiced the colorful smuggler Orpheus, as well as his son Cordell Broadus. The musical part was complemented by pop stars Satoshi Fujihara and Tori Kelly, who not only wrote the soundtrack but also played the main character’s role-playing protégés.The game’s plot covers an impressive half-century period (from 1915 to 1965). The player takes on the role of Makoto Daito — a young man of Japanese-American descent who illegally sails to Japan in search of his roots. On the ship, he meets Orpheus and another young man named Yu Shinjō. Orpheus takes the rescued boys under his wing, after which they begin to build their own empire in the entertainment industry, spreading their influence from Fukuoka to Tokyo.The gameplay is divided into two parts.
