Shift Up revealed its publishing plans for the second part of Stellar Blade in the company’s latest financial report.While the first game in the series was published by PlayStation, the studio intends to distribute the sequel independently. According to the developers, this will allow them to fully showcase the unique features of the franchise in marketing and more consistently introduce the audience to the game universe.The first Stellar Blade continues to sell steadily during sales events, although specific sales figures have not been disclosed. Shift Up expects the sequel to surpass the original in commercial performance.The announcement of details regarding both the continuation of Stellar Blade and the Project Spirits title is planned within the current fiscal year — both titles are being developed on schedule.Shift Up will also act as the publisher for the studio Unbound, founded by Shinji Mikami and acquired by the company. Unbound’s team consists of 60 people, and the studio is developing several projects of varying scale, but details have not yet been revealed.
