Embark has abandoned monthly patches in favor of large-scale content.

Embark Studios has changed its support strategy for the extraction shooter ARC Raiders. Instead of frequent small updates, the team will switch to major updates twice a year.
Initially, the developers planned monthly content releases to maintain player interest. However, this pace hindered the creation of truly significant changes in gameplay and progression.
The pressure of a strict schedule limited the team's ability to implement ambitious ideas. Large-scale updates will allow for deeper development of the shooter’s systems.
Minor patches, cosmetics, and events will be prepared by a separate group. The first major update, Frozen Trail, will be released in October with the largest map, a new operation, improved progression, and the unveiling of the ARC robots’ lore.
