On May 14 at 15:00 Moscow time, the embargo on Forza Horizon 6 reviews was lifted. At the time of publication, the average rating on Metacritic stood at 92 out of 100 (62 reviews).
On OpenCritic, the game scored 91 out of 100, with 100% of critics recommending the arcade racing game.
Journalists noted that Playground Games surpassed the fifth installment (Mexico) by creating a picturesque and atmospheric Japan with many collectible locations.
The developers improved the progression system: supercars are not given at the start, and initial races are only available with cars of rank "C". The campaign is divided into two parts — the familiar festival and Discover Japan, focusing on exploring locations.
