Frontier Developments has revealed the release date and key innovations of the simulator.
The studio Frontier Developments officially announced Planet Zoo 2, releasing the debut trailer. The main innovations of the sequel are birds and aquatic creatures — turtles, crocodiles, and fish. To keep the latter, players will need to build aquariums with salt or fresh water, and for the feathered ones — construct aviaries with protective nets.
In addition to new animals, the game introduced a reserve system: territories can be expanded and arranged independently. The construction mechanics received tools for scaling, road laying, and terrain adjustment, and the visual part was updated with new decoration styles.
Planet Zoo 2 will offer two modes: a career mode with building an international network of zoos and a free “sandbox” mode. The game will be released on October 13 at a price starting from 50 dollars, supporting Frontier Workshop for sharing user content. The page is already open on Steam, but it is not available in Russia.
