According to PC Gamer, Wizards of the Coast has launched development of a Baldur's Gate II remake. Sources for the publication have confirmed work on the second part, but there is no certainty regarding a remake of the first BG. He previously participated in the creation of Neverwinter Nights, Dragon Age: Origins, and Mass Effect. Recently, Martens worked on the game Exodus, whose development studio is part of Wizards of the Coast. The original Baldur's Gate II was released in 2000 and became one of the highest-rated games in history. Subsequently, a major expansion Throne of Bhaal was released for it. Today, an Enhanced Edition re-release is available for sale, created by the studio Beamdog, founded by BioWare veteran Trent Oster.
