Alkimia Interactive has reimagined the legend — without losing the spirit of the original.
The Gothic remake officially went on sale on June 5. The game was released simultaneously on three platforms — PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S — and is the result of years of work by the Alkimia Interactive studio from Barcelona.
The developers recreated the game from scratch on the Unreal Engine 5, while preserving the recognizable setting: the magical barrier, the Colony, ore mining, and the eternal faction conflict. The story was refined — the authors eliminated contradictions present in the 2001 version. The gameplay also noticeably evolved: diving and climbing were introduced, and the amount of content to explore increased.
The reactive world, where NPCs live by their own rules and respond to the player's actions, remains the main "highlight" of the franchise. The choice between three factions still influences the course of events, and a full playthrough is estimated at over 50 hours. The Russian-language dubbing covers all key characters; the Nameless Hero is voiced by Pyotr Glantz-Ivashchenko. The price on Steam is 2699 rubles, and on PS5 and Xbox Series — 60 dollars.
