The Code: Veronica remake was presented at Summer Game Fest with a trailer and details.
At the opening ceremony of Summer Game Fest on the night of June 6, Capcom officially announced the remake of Resident Evil Code: Veronica. Rumors about the project’s development had been circulating in the professional community for a long time, and now the game has received official confirmation.
Claire's Design
The main heroine will once again be Claire Redfield: according to the plot, she goes to Paris in search of her brother Chris but ends up captured by the Umbrella Corporation. As in the original 2000 version, the action moves to the isolated Rockfort Island, overrun by zombies — the events take place three months after the finale of the second installment of the series. Chris did not appear in the first trailer, although his role was significant in the original game. Capcom promised to preserve the spirit of the original source while simultaneously reworking the gameplay and narrative.
The game will be released in 2027 under the name Resident Evil Veronica on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2. The page is already available on Steam; the description states full Russian localization.
