Paramount Games Studio and the creators of Silent Hill 2 are developing an adult game based on Star Trek.



Paramount Games Studio together with Bloober Team presented Star Trek: Shadow Frontier — a third-person action-adventure in the psychological thriller genre. The story revolves around former Lieutenant Ro Laren: she will be voiced by Michelle Forbes, familiar to fans of the series Star Trek: The Next Generation. A mission to save a friend gradually turns into a painful journey of self-discovery for the heroine.After a crash on an alien planet, Ro finds herself trapped: an unknown consciousness has taken control of the entire surrounding environment and turned it into a weapon. Prolonged exposure to these conditions begins to distort the heroine’s memories. She must survive, confront dangerous creatures, and gradually unravel the nature of the threat.The gameplay organically combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat encounters — all interspersed with cinematic scenes. Ro uses classic gadgets from the universe: a tricorder for analyzing objects and a phaser, which is useful not only in combat but also for solving puzzles. The release is planned for 2027 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2.
