According to Alinea Analytics, total sales of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach surpassed two million copies following its PC launch, with roughly 425,000 units sold in the first week alone. The PS5 version generated approximately $110 million, while the PC release added $32.6 million — around 20% of overall revenue. Analyst Rhys Elliott suggests that a price drop may have contributed to the sequel's renewed popularity, including on PS5. On average, PC players spent 18 hours in-game; over a third logged more than 20 hours, and about 5% exceeded 50 hours. In its debut week on Steam, the title entered the weekly chart at third place, behind Crimson Desert and Slay the Spire 2.
