The new cartoon in the Super Mario universe opened in theaters better than any 2026 release, earning $372.5 million in its first days of release and entering the top 4 animated openings in history. The gap from the first part is minimal: "Super Mario Bros. in the movie" in 2023 showed debut earnings of $375 million and ended its run with over $1.3 billion. Therefore, analysts have almost no doubt that "Galactic Movie" will reach the billion mark.
