Materials appeared six months before the film's release on Paramount+ on October 9.
On the weekend of April 11–12, a rough version of the full-length animated film "The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender," scheduled for October 9 on Paramount+, leaked online. User X claimed to have received a full copy of the film by email, presumably due to a mistake by Nickelodeon staff, after which they published several clips and threatened to stream the entire movie if the studio did not release at least a trailer. Soon, reports began to emerge about the availability of the full version of the film in the public domain; however, Paramount and Nickelodeon have not officially commented on the situation, while simultaneously blocking the leaked materials at the request of the rights holders.
