The star of "Stranger Things" has joined the adaptation of the iconic character's military youth.
David Harbour, known to viewers from the series "Stranger Things," has joined the cast of the military action film "John Rambo" — a prequel telling the story of the protagonist's service in Vietnam before the events of "First Blood" from 1982. Harbour will play Major Sam Trautman — the commander and mentor of the young Rambo, a role that Richard Crenna portrayed throughout the original Stallone trilogy over three films. The lead role in the film is played by Noah Centineo ("The Recruit"), and the director is Finnish filmmaker Jalmari Helander, who previously directed "Big Game."
