One of the architects of the MCU's visual style says goodbye to the studio and looks forward to a "new beginning."

Concept artist and visual development director Andy Park announced his departure from Marvel Studios on his social media. Over 16 years with the company — since 2010, when the Marvel Cinematic Universe was taking its first steps — he participated in the creation of more than 40 films and series. The exact circumstances of Park's departure have not been clarified: it is unknown whether it was his own decision or a result of the recent restructuring that affected almost the entire visual effects department of the studio.
Park started as a regular concept artist and eventually rose to the position of visual development director, personally overseeing 15 projects — including "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2," "Black Panther," the series "WandaVision," and "Deadpool and Wolverine." In his farewell post, he wrote that he is happy about the creative freedom opening up and views his departure as a new starting point in his career. Before joining Marvel, Park worked as an artist in comics — on the "X-Men" and "Tomb Raider" series — and also participated in the creation of several classic God of War titles.
