Nevermore Academy is left behind — Wednesday heads to France.



Netflix presented the first official image from the third season of "Wednesday": it shows Jenna Ortega as her character standing against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower, and the announcement was accompanied by the caption "From Paris, with horror" — a reference to the classic spy franchise. The Paris filming block took place from April 18 to 20, 2026; even before the official announcement, photos from the set circulated online, showing director Tim Burton alongside Ortega. The production process for the third season began in February.

The main cast returned with Emma Myers, Luis Guzmán, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Fred Armisen. New additions to the project include Lena Headey ("Game of Thrones"), Winona Ryder ("Beetlejuice"), Andrew McCarthy ("Gossip Girl"), James Lance ("Ted Lasso"), and Eva Green ("Dark Shadows"). Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar continue working on the script, while Tim Burton retains his roles as director and executive producer.
