According to an insider from The Hollywood Reporter, close to the production of the series, the third season of "The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" will appear on screens before the end of 2026 — despite Amazon not officially announcing a premiere date, and the industry circles expecting the season only in 2027. The plot of the continuation unfolds several years after the finale of the second season and focuses on the escalation of the war between the elves and Sauron: the Dark Lord is approaching the creation of the One Ring, which should ensure his victory over all of Middle-earth.The third season will see the return of Charlie Vickers (Sauron), Morfydd Clark (Galadriel), and Robert Aramayo (Elrond).
