After nearly ten years of silence in mainstream cinema, director Nicolas Winding Refn ("The Neon Demon," "Drive") returns with the feature thriller "Her Private Hell." According to Deadline and the distributing company Neon, the American premiere of the film is scheduled for July 24. The film is planned to be released widely, involving between 800 and 1200 cinemas.The events of the film unfold in a foggy future Tokyo and intertwine several plot threads. One of the stories (according to French distributors The Jokers Films) tells of a girl searching for her missing father, who teams up with an American soldier. Simultaneously, viewers will see a luxurious hotel where actresses have gathered for the shooting of a project in the style of "Barbarella," while a serial killer roams the city. Refn himself promises a hypnotic spectacle filled with violence, glitter, and sex.
