The streaming platform Disney+ has completed the airing of the first season of the animated show "Star Wars: Darth Maul - Lord of Shadows." The plot unfolds in the period after the "Clone Wars" and tells about the dark lord's attempts to restore the former power of his criminal empire.Viewers warmly welcomed the new release: on the IMDb portal, the average episode rating was 8.6 out of 10, with only one episode slightly dropping below eight. Fans also appreciated the return of Sam Witwer, who once again lent his voice to the character (he previously voiced him in "The Clone Wars" and "Rebels"). The project has officially been greenlit for the creation of a second season. According to the creators, the story may smoothly lead viewers to the events of "Rebels," and the director even hinted that Maul's death in that series might have been just an illusion.
