The creators of "For All Mankind" have launched a new show about the USSR's preparation for a lunar mission.
On May 29, the series "Star City" premiered on Apple TV, — a spinoff of the alternative historical drama "For All Mankind." The plot is based on a world where Soviet cosmonautics surpassed the American: the USSR was the first to land a man on the Moon, and the show tells the story of how they prepared for this.The cast includes Rhys Evans ("House of the Dragon"), Anna Maxwell Martin ("Good Omens"), Agnes O'Casey ("The Casual Vacancy"), and Sully McLeod ("Outlander"). The showrunners are Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi — the creators of the original series. There will be eight episodes in total; Russian subtitles are already available.
