The actor admitted that he himself inadvertently sparked these talks with an old interview.
In an extensive GQ feature about the filming of "The Northman," Robert Pattinson touched on the topic of rumors regarding his physical preparation for the role of Bruce Wayne. According to him, after the release of the first "Batman," there was active discussion online that he allegedly neglected training. Pattinson categorically denied this: he trained daily, sometimes twice a day, even at three in the morning — and yet, by his own admission, still looked like he hadn’t been to the gym.
The actor suggested that the source of the rumors was his own 2020 GQ interview, where he noted that he did "almost nothing" compared to Zoë Kravitz, who trained five days a week. For the role preparation, he worked with the well-known trainer Regan Machado, who publicly spoke of him as a determined client.
In the same interview, Pattinson mentioned an unexpected detail about "Batman 2": he learned from a stuntman that the production schedule included eleven weeks of night shoots — information that no one had told him in advance. Additionally, the actor said that after "Tenet" and the first "Batman," he spent a long time looking for a new major project, and ultimately over the past few years starred in a number of mid-budget films, including "The Northman" and "Dune 3."
