The Prime Video universe continues to expand: Jensen Ackles revealed that "Vought Rising" is planned for multiple seasons and will show Soldier Boy in his "natural environment."

Actor Jensen Ackles, who plays Soldier Boy in the series "The Boys" and is the executive producer of the upcoming prequel "Vought Rising," confirmed that the project was originally created with the intention of multiple seasons. According to the actor, when he was first offered the role, he agreed even before the description was finished. Ackles also clarified that Soldier Boy in the prequel is radically different from his modern version: "He is the main character. But viewers will also see how the events that shaped him into the person we know unfolded." The series is a mystical detective story set in 1950s New York — during the era of the founding of the Vought corporation and the first experiments with Compound V. Besides Ackles, Aya Cash stars as Storm (known in those years as Clara Vought). The showrunner is Paul Grellong, and the original creator Eric Kripke serves as executive producer. Filming of the first season, consisting of eight episodes, was completed in March 2026; the approximate release on Prime Video is expected in late 2026 — early 2027. The final fifth season of "The Boys" will premiere on April 8, 2026.
