At The Android Show presentation, preceding Google I/O 2026, the company announced Android 17. The release is positioned as a transition to an "intelligent system" with deep integration of the AI assistant Gemini.
Gemini Intelligence and RamblerThe Gemini Intelligence package allows the assistant to perform multi-step tasks: from booking to shopping. Gemini recognizes the screen context — for example, it will add items from notes to the delivery app’s cart. Chrome received an AI button for summarizing pages and autofilling forms. The Rambler feature in Gboard removes filler words in real time and supports multiple languages simultaneously.
