Chapter Seven of «Highway of Worlds» is live - «Terminal Category».

Unusual title, I know. It came on its own - it's Sky's line, and once you read the chapter you'll see why she labeled something with that particular term. Sky doesn't waste words. 😉

As I mentioned before, this chapter was completely unplanned in the form it ended up taking… Like, at all. I had (well, more like used to have 🙂 ) a plan for the entire book, a rough map all the way through Chapter Ten - but as it almost always goes with me: I sit down to write, slip into the flow, forget the plan exists, and then discover the plan didn't go according to plan. The characters have a life of their own. At some point I just stopped steering them and started writing down what was happening. Apparently they prefer it that way.

Chapter Seven has a completely different rhythm. No chases, no firefights. The crew opens up in ways they've kept hidden until now - we learn what drives them, what's really going on inside, what kind of secrets and motives they've been carrying around for years. Olmi has a little secret of his own, and Sky's reaction to it is probably one of those things that was never supposed to happen between them, but ended up becoming (or rather is still becoming - I'll be honest, I don't know myself where all of this leads yet) something very important for the whole story.
